About our RENEWED Line

When you see ‘RENEWED’ describing one of our pieces, you can be assured that it will be amazing.  That’s because we painstakingly strip, sand, and finish each piece with hand-rubbed oil and wax.

Most mid-century pieces were finished with a one-step opaque lacquer spray that hid the natural beauty of the wood grain of these pieces.  Our process strips away this mask, and our finishing process allows each piece’s true and beautiful identity to shine through.

Of course, this does not mean that each RENEWED piece is perfect.  Many will still maintain certain character elements and imperfections. We will only describe those imperfections in a product listing if significant, otherwise we believe they add to the value of the piece.

It is certainly of no coincidence that the renewal process of our furniture parallels our own renewal that we stumbled upon through our faith in Christ Jesus. We lived many years, wearing many masks and trying to prove to the world we were something we were not; until these masks were stripped away and our true identity in Christ was revealed.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the RENEWing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing, and perfect will.
